PTA: Teacher's Sidekick

PTA : Teacher’s Sidekick

The role of education for the betterment of the society cannot be neglected. In order for the school to function effectively for the student’s welfare, it is important for both teachers and parents come together. This is well achieved by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in the school. The importance of the PTA cannot be given a deaf ear. Bolaoen Elementary School understands this aspect and offers Parent Teacher Association.

For a school to function better, it is important for teachers and parents to work together. A parent surely wants to know everything is going on well in the school, including the teachers and school management. The same goes for the teachers too, in which they want to know the social background, interests and so on of the students. All this actually works to the benefit of students. Knowing more about a student helps teachers to cater to their needs accordingly. The PTA in Bolaoen Elementary School works towards creating a friendly and amiable atmosphere for the students.

EARTHQUAKE DRILL

EARTHQUAKE DRILL

NARRATIVE REPORT

An earthquake drill is a drill used to practice in preparation for an earthquake. School Safety Preparedness Drill is an annual earthquake preparedness drill being organized in schools. A large earthquake could be unprecedented catastrophe. With earthquake as an inevitable part of our future, schools must make plans and take actions to reduce the consequences of these disaster. What we do now will determine what our lives will be like afterwards. With this in mind Bolaoen Elementary School joins the whole country from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in simultaneous earthquake drill in all schools.

This June 22, 2019 after the flag ceremony, a short talk about disaster awareness and preparedness was conducted by Mrs. Myrna O. Fernandez , Teacher III.  She discussed about the different kinds of disasters that would possibly hit our country any time and its consequences. She also emphasized the importance of being prepared and aware for this unwanted event to reduce its negative effects in our lives. Guidelines were given in case these emergencies occur. In case of floods and typhoons it is advised for the people living in catch basin areas to evacuate immediately to designated evacuation center. For earthquake preparedness a school plan was designed to keep everyone safe.

Congratulations! Vanjoss Bayaban, the voice kid champion 2019 and the pride of Pangasinan.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019

Bolaoen Elementary School held National School Maintenance Week, otherwise known as BRIGADA ESKWELA, on May 20-May 25, 2019 with a theme Matatag na Bayan Para sa Maunlad na Paaralan. It aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort, and resources to prepare public school facilities for the opening of the school year in June.
This week-long event fostered Bayanihan spirit among the parents, PTA Officials , barangay council officials and teachers of Bolaoen Elementary School. This activity aimed to encourage parents , barangay officials and  LGU and even NGO’s  to share their time to clean the surroundings do minor repairs of school facilities and equipment to prepare the school for the opening of the school year 2019-2020.
On the first day of Brigada, everyone cleaned the classroom inside and outside

by sweeping and dusting. We asked our volunteers to fix our broken doors, hang the curtains and started to clean the garden. On the second day all of our instructional materials were fixed and repaired. The third day and fourth day was spent on repainting our tables and chairs and on the fifth day we focused on gardening and cleaning outside our classrooms. The sixth day was spent on classroom structuring.
Every one worked together in cleaning the school ground and garden, repairing and repainting of chairs, desk, windows, doors, comfort rooms, tables, landscaping/masonry work and trimming of trees.  Once again the spirit of vounteerism among Filipinos was strengthened through this event. Brigada Eskwela is a proof that an effective partnership between the government and citizens is possible.
